There is something incredibly special about those first few weeks at home with a newborn. The days may feel like a blur of feedings, snuggles, and sleepless nights, but tucked within those moments are memories that deserve to be preserved forever. Recently, I had the honor of photographing a beautiful newborn lifestyle session near Richmond, VA that perfectly captured the love, connection, and joy surrounding a family's newest addition.

We spent the session moving naturally through different spaces in the home, taking advantage of beautiful window light and capturing moments as they unfolded. I was astounded by her gorgeous nursery, mom and dad really went all out.

The family also spent time together in the nursery, a space thoughtfully prepared with so much love and anticipation. From rocking baby in the nursery chair to sharing quiet moments together, these images reflect the beginning of a new chapter that will be treasured for years to come.

One of my favorite parts of in home lifestyle newborn sessions is that we get to photograph the fur babies in their natural habitat. This family had FOUR dogs and they were all the sweetest.
